An old traffic light directing Marina is now home Volcanological Observatory, it houses the equipment used by the INGV for the monitoring of the La Fossa crater, Vulcano. All around, low scrubland and bush nuclei cover the slopes, while the coastal cliffs are occupied in the spring by populous of herring gull colonies. After the seventeenth-century church of San Salvatore, the trail continues to the island's interior and allows you to enjoy a panoramic view to the "Fossa o Munti", one of the craters today a vineyard. After the pit you can admire a view over the town of Lipari. L 'arrival is expected at the church of "San Bartolo du Munti". you can then continue the path until the 'beautiful, tranquil beach "Valle Muria", where Roman remains of some reservoirs are still visible.
