Two contrasting landscapes

Duration: 4 hours - difficulty: medium-high

From the old semaphore of the Italian Navy of Pollara, a walk crosses the western slope of Monte dei Porri and offers a nice view on the ancient crater of Pollara, partially destroyed 13,000 years ago by a catastrophic eruption. The shady shrub, mainly composed by heathers, strawberry trees and dense mosses, gradually becomes more sunny and open, once passed Pizzo del Corvo. The whole southern slope is occupied by terraces and olive groves, from Piano del Vescovo to Valle Spina and, finally, to the rural village of Leni.
